As an important part of its mission, Videobrasil holds exhibitions that establish dialogue between the geopolitical South and contemporary international production – whether by the thematic bias or by procedures and poetics involved.
Deepening a vocation that began with the Pan-African Contemporary Art Show (2005) and African Contemporary Art Show (2000), Videobrasil, in partnership with SESC, designed and produced exhibitions of great importance and wide repercussions, such as Sophie Calle - Take Care of Yourself (2009), Joseph Beuys – We are the revolution (2010-11), Isaac Julien: Geopoetics (2012) and Unerasable Memories — A Historic Look at the Videobrasil Collection (2014).
