He is a journalist, university professor, documentary filmmaker, playwright and filmmaker. He holds a master’s degree in Audiovisual from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA-USP). In 2010 he released the book Radiografia de um Filme: São Paulo Sociedade Anônima. He has written and directed the short films Ondas and Branco & Preto, both in 35mm and produced by SuperFilmes. For Itaú Cultural, he adapted the script and directed (with Dainara Toffoli) the documentary Brasil da Virada, about the coming of the new millennium. For Anhangabau Produções, he co-directed the documentary 100% Jardim Ângela and directed Futuro do Pretérito: Tropicalismo Now!. On television, he served as the editor of Abril Video, from 1983 to 1985, aired on TV Gazeta on air time rented by Abril publishing company. He created and directed several TV shows, like Metrópolis, on TV Cultura, and Saia Justa, on GNT, as well as all of the shows hosted by presenter Marília Gabriela on channels GNT, Band, CNT, SBT, RedeTV!, and TV UOL. He wrote and directed the fictional TV drama Lucy Puma, Uma Gata da Pesada, in 1987. He coordinated the cinema course at University Anhembi Morumbi and is a professor at the RTV course of Cásper Líbero College, in São Paulo.
