Andrés Denegri is an artist, curator, and professor, working with videos, video installations and films. His research is built around two main themes: one that is deeply connected to the political and economic history of Argentina, and the other based on a more lyrical poetics, in which autobiographical traces are employed in narrative and fictional experimentation. He is graduated in cinema from the Universidad del Cine, in Buenos Aires, and participated in artistic residencies in Canada and in the United States. Denegri is director of the Bienal de La Imagen en Movimiento, and film and video curator at the Buenos Aires Museum of Modern Art. He is also a professor at the National University of Tres de Febrero and at the National University of the Arts. He lives and works in Buenos Aires.
