Graziela Kunsch talks at the 20th Festival about her production
Following the program of the 20th Contemporary Art Festival Sesc_Videobrasil, the artist Graziela Kunsch talks to the public about her work. The debate, which does not require prior registration, will be held next Saturday (28), at 3pm, in Sesc Pompeia’s Auditorium.
Graziela will talk about her creative process and, in particular, about the two works shown at the Festival. In the video Ensaio Ilú Oba de Min (2014), she films a group of transgender women and men who dance and interact with the camera while watching a presentation of the Afro street carnival ensemble. In the video Escolas (2016, image), Graziela presents a sequence of 26 photographs that record the occupations in the São Paulo public state schools in 2015.
The artist was one of the contemplated with the residency prizes granted by the Festival. She will spend a season in Warsaw, Poland, at the Center for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle. Editor of the Urbânia magazine, the artist has already had works featured at the 29th and 31st editions of the São Paulo Biennial (2010 and 2014), and at the 10th São Paulo Architecture Biennial.
During the talk, the video programs will not be shown at the Auditorium, but the content of the programs remains available in the Digital Guides, which are located at Convivência, Theater Hall, and Oficinas de Criatividade.
